Room with a View
A tree has literally taken up root and flourished within this room. Believe it or not, this is the top floor of the hotel. It was tempting to sit down in this hotseat, but of course, even that was forbidden.
Room with a Deadly View
Reactor number 4 in the distance can be clearly seen from this balcony. On the night of the accident, many residents stood on their balconies looking at the glowing fire eminating from afar.
Showstopper
Inside Pripyat cinema, most of the interior has been gutted. Rows of seats remain in the auditorium, film reels lie scattered on the floor. The only thing missing is the popcorn.
Server Room
Being an IT geek (only by trade), I stumbled into this room, which looks like a Soviet era computer room, minus the computers, of course. These had long been stripped out. In most of the Pripyat buildings, thieves have removed all the fittings, including radiators and floorboards - all of it is radioactive.
